About Ongar Business Centre, Essex

The Ongar Business Centre (OBC), formerly known as the Essex Technology and Innovation Centre (ETIC), is located in west Essex, in Chipping Ongar. The managed centre is near key business hubs of Brentwood, Chelmsford, Harlow and Epping and offers business work spaces and meeting rooms to SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs.

The centre is owned by Essex County Council and managed by Let’s Do Business Group.

Easy Public Transport Access

Our business centre is located in west Essex, in Chipping Ongar, situated within easy access to the M11 & M25. OBC is 20 minutes from Chelmsford City, 30 minutes from London Stansted Airport and only 1 hour from Central London which makes our business centre the ideal location for access to close cities. We also have easy access to areas such as Bishops Stortford, Epping, Brentwood, and Harlow. A few minutes away is the acclaimed seafood restaurant Smith’s and a local convenience shop, eateries and a leisure centre. Approx a mile from the site is Ongar High Street which has a range of shops and eateries such as Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s, and Spice Masala.

  • There are bus stops a couple of minutes walk away. The bus routes provide easy direct access to Chelmsford, Shenfield, Kelvedon Hatch and Writtle.

  • Train stations are located approx. 10 miles away with the closest being Epping Underground and Harlow Town Stations; both provide direct access to London Liverpool Street and London Stratford.
